The first bluebells of the year

We’re starting to see the first early bluebells poking through in the woods – a signal of what is still to come!

Early flowering allows bluebells to make the most of the sunlight that is still able to make it to the forest floor before the leaves really start to fill the canopy.

We’d love you to come and see the bluebells at their best next weekend, when we’ll be running our visitor survey. It’d be great to be able to talk to as many people as possible, to demonstrate good levels of community support that we can evidence in our ongoing grant applications.

We’ll be running the survey between 8.30 am and 6 pm on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th.
