Protecting our local bluebell wood for all to enjoy
We're a group of volunteers campaigning to build a pathway in our local green space, Fishpond Wood. On this site, you can keep up with our fundraising and find out more about the project and the woodland.
As part of our efforts to engage the local community, we recently arranged a visit for around 30 young children from St. Matthew’s Church of England school when the bluebells were at their best. Nicola and David led the group on a nature walk and the class learned all about the history of the woodland, and had plenty of brilliant questions to ask.
We’ve been busy behind the scenes, making sure everything is in place for when our funding lands. You may have seen our new noticeboards in the wood – one by the ramp to Wimbledon Common and one by the stream near the Rugby Club car park. We hope these provide you with up to date…
